As part of setting up this website I’ll be introducing myself and the skills that are useful as a Business Analyst.
I will try and paint a picture of the value of the work of a BA and how they are critical people in project teams.
I think the place to start is to define what a BA actually is: where they fit in to a business and the software development lifecycle and how to get the best out of them. There is definitely not a “one size fits all” definition – some are incredibly technical and are critical parts of DevOps teams; others have subject matter expertise; and there may well be BAs that are generalists who can guide stakeholders through requirements gathering exercises or process design. This exercise will be skewed by my experience.
Stay tuned!
